PTC Coordinator Spotlight: Michelle Sheppard

Pop the Champagne isn’t busy and successful because we kick ass at coordinating weddings (which we do of course)…all those 5 star reviews are because of our team! Each team member is a special blend of hustle, sass, crazy, determination, organization, sense of humor and SENSATIONAL DANCE MOVES!

Case in point- Michelle! This girl bubbles like champagne from the moment you meet her. She takes her job very seriously and is so passionate about weddings. She is sassy AF and takes no shit. Oh and she’s like, really pretty.

What is your favorite part of being a wedding coordinator?

Where to start…there are so many aspects of being a wedding coordinator that I enjoy, and weddings are probably one of my most favorite topics to talk about in the entire world!  I am very thankful that I get to wake up and do what I love every day as it is an honor to be a part of one of the most important and meaningful days of someone’s life.

I love walking into the bridal suite and seeing the beautiful bride getting ready with all of her favorite girls….the smiles, the laughs, the genuine love in the room makes me so happy.

I am also very social and do not do well with routine! So, the unconventional aspect of wedding planning is very appealing to me. I get to constantly meet new people, get to know them personally, their likes, dislikes, their love story, and most importantly: THE VISION for the big day!

Weddings are like puzzles; with a million pieces! Putting every single piece in place and ensuring all the pieces come together perfectly for my clients is the most exciting and fulfilling feeling. Truthfully, I enjoy the ENTIRE process from start to finish!

What is the wedding dance song you wish you could never here again?

If I hear Beyonce-“Single Ladies” for bouquet toss ONE MORE TIME!!!

Cocktail of choice?

Hendricks, Elderflower, a splash of lime juice, a splash of soda, Cucumber & mint…. served up!

No drinks on the rocks for me!

What is your guilty pleasure reality show?

You are getting married this summer! What has been the hardest part of planning your own wedding?

The hardest part of planning my own wedding is exceeding my guest’s expectations. As a planner, the expectations are way too high!

What has been the most fun part of planning your own wedding?

Still waiting for the fun part!

What is your bucket list vacation?

Where do you hope to be in 5 years?

I hope to be one of the top planners in California and have at least two little rug rats calling me mommy!
